Reflections
Hello Bloggers!
Rating myself 1-10.. my physical well being is an 8. I say 8 because I am dieting and exercising for the first time ever and I feel good! (8 explains, I 8 too much before.) I just lost 15 lbs. Go me! My spiritual well being is a 5. I am not where I want to be, but I am at the hump. Class helps! My psychological well being is a 3. Boo me! I am stressed, and hoping that this degree can be turned into something rewarding. Moving forward toward my goal… no matter what gets in my way. There is no stopping me now. More weight loss, better from the inside out and moving on to a non stressful life.
The Crime of the Century exercise agitated me today. I think it is due to being a man’s voice. Not too soothing today. Sounded like Charlie Browns teacher to me.
THE ONLY PERSON YOU SHOULD TRY TO BE BETTER THAN IS..THE PERSON YOU WERE YESTERDAY.

I think that great that you are grasping a hold of what is stressing. Im also pretty stressed and allot of it to do with school. I like to make a strict schedule at the beginning of the week to follow and follow it religiously or im paying later!! Just as long as i follow my schedule im okay (stress and anxiety). Great blog!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on losing 15 lbs! that's awesome good for you keep up the good work. Your spiritual well being is only a 5 like you said but at least you know where you are and you know what you have to do to move up on that scale. Inside out is the best way! I really like your last sentence; that really is something we all should be doing. A lot of people get discouraged with making goals because a lot can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. With your last sentence about being better than you were yesterday should eliminate excuses and help others see that light to not give up. Great blog post.
ReplyDeleteFirst...CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss!! Remember mind over matter. Once you rid yourself of the toxins you will feel SO much better. Keep up the good work. Exercise helps destress so use that as motivation!! Sorry about your psychological. Why does life have to be so hard!!??? If you believe it you can achieve it!! Keep pushing!!!!
ReplyDeleteWay to go on the weight loss!
ReplyDeleteI found that guy's voice really annoying too, but I've never been good listening to those types of things! I love your quote "the only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday" I may have to borrow that! It'll look good on my mirror :-)
Keep it up Billie, you will definitely get where you want to be! With your attitude, there's no way you could fail!!
Billie,
ReplyDeleteWow!, You are moving girl! You have been talking for some time about the journey you were beginning at least two terms ago and you have made huge progress as far as your weight loss is concerned. I LOVED the last sentence of your post. I too am struggling with my spiritual health. Do you think that it has something to do people's ages or do you feel that it is more of a personal struggle. I find it hard to shut the world out and focus on the inner world that lives inside of me. Do you have any suggestion? Keep up the great work!
Congratulations on your weight loss Billie. That is a great accomplishment! I love the quote you put at the end as well. I think the exercise frustrated me as well partly because it was not a soothing voice and I could not concentrate. I am sorry that you are so stressed. At times I feel overwhelmed because my husband and I both work and school full time and weekday evenings and weekend mornings are spent on academics. I know that it will not last forever but it is stressful at times. Have you ever tried focusing on your stress on more positive energy or hobbies? I started exercising to relieve some stress.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
Hi Billie, that's amazing about your progress, you go girl! I have to say that I have started dieting and exercising simultaneously for the first time (before i was either doing one or the other) and I feel like crap! lol, but i guess it's only been 2 or 3 weeks - did you ever go through a period of feeling drained after you started on your current path to success?
ReplyDeleteI think you have a great attitude, and I'm sorry to read that your spiritual and psychological well-being aren't too high, and i can relate to your stress in a sense, as I'm starting to pick up more hours at my job and have been trying harder to focus on school in an effort to not repeat this class (I took it last semester but just couldn't get into it with a lot of things going on all at once besides school and work). I do remember the feeling that this class sort of began to reawaken my spirit and inner peace after a long sleep, but the second time around it's kind of hard to find that feeling again.. Alls there is is practice practice practice I guess, and I hope this class helps you on your path to health, happiness and wholeness. : )
